Dr. Mark Loo holds a PhD in Management (Marketing). He has over 20 years of international sales and marketing experience in diverse industries including office automation, multilevel marketing, advertising and training consultancy. He had been a Business Representative for Mesiniaga/IBM, Marketing Coordinator and Sales Trainer for Amway managing 55% of national sales, copywriter at Quantum: FCB, Account Supervisor at Mather and Associate Account Director at Union 45/Publicis before starting and managing his management training consultancy for 12 years prior to landing in Canada.
He has designed and delivered customized executive development programs for over 100 clients and served as a panel consultant for national institutions of management in Brunei, Malaysia, Mauritius and Singapore. He has also conducted management workshops for corporate clients in China, Indonesia and Thailand. Due to his industry experience, Dr. Loo had been sought to teach BBA and MBA twinning programs from UK, US, Australia and Netherlands related to Strategic Management, Marketing and International Marketing. In Canada, Dr. Loo taught business at Taylor University College, Edmonton before his appointment at Concordia University of Edmonton.
Dr. Loo was admitted as Fellow of the Academy of Marketing Sciences in 2000 and holds trainer certification with the American Management Association and Tack Training UK prior to full time academia. He was the Chair of Education in the Alberta Chapter Board of Directors of the Marketing Research and Intelligence Association, and now Chair of Certification for MRIA.

Chris has more than 20 years of experience in the market research industry and is a recognized expert in his field. Chris truly enjoys turning his client’s quest for knowledge into actionable insights that are the direct result of his attention to detail and in-depth understanding of every aspect of a research project, from complex sample design to discrete choice modeling analysis. Chris started his own research firm at the age of 32 that, due to its incredible success, was bought out by a much larger Canadian research company. Chris has conducted all types of large and small marketing and community research undertakings in communities various sizes. Chris has managed citizen satisfaction surveys for various municipalities including the City of Brampton, City of Burlington, City of Barrie, City of Port Colborne, City of Vaughan, City of Mississauga, Town of Blue Mountains, Town of Milton, Town of Newmarket, District of Saanich, The Resort Municipality of Whistler and many others. He has conducted more than 200 research projects for municipalities across Canada. He has also managed, designed and consulted on large market research and branding projects and is always directly involved in the day-to-day management of the work and team assigned to the project. More specifically, Chris has conducted large-scale research programs for organizations such as Air Miles, Canada Post, CBC, Public Works and Government Services Canada, National Post, Duraflame and Microsoft.
With his experience and strong analytical and managerial abilities, he is capable of designing and implementing complex research studies that are customized for each new assignment. He works with his clients in a collaborative style, helping to identify information requirements, select the most cost-effective methods, synthesize findings and make recommendations best suited to their unique circumstances.
