Hello BC Chapter!

Ann Stone teaches courses in marketing and strategy for graduate, undergraduate, and Executive Education programs. She has more than 25 years of C-level marketing experience at Fortune 500 companies including Coca-Cola, Papa Murphy's, Church's Chicken & more. In this Lunch and Learn, Ann will explore the Consumer Decision Journey and why it’s so important as a foundation of understanding consumer behavior.

Join us this fall in Vancouver for a jam-packed Student Networking and Speaker Event! Employers can meet students and bring along teammates to learn new skills at the concurrent speaker session, and students will be able to meet representatives of industry-leading companies, and network and exchange information with them.

There are two ways you can take part: either by sponsoring a table or speaking at the event!

1. Sponsor a Table

Being a sponsor at a table means you have a seat with six potential up-and-comers in the market research industry! In the rotating table format, you’ll have a chance to speak one-on-one with students, provide mentorship and career tips, and potentially find new talent.

Table sponsors are $200 each, and table sponsors are allowed to bring up to three people from their company—two for the Speaker Event, and one for the Student Networking Event—and all can attend the networking reception afterward.

2. Speak at the Event

The BC Chapter is looking for thought-provoking speakers who are willing to share their knowledge and experience in research. This event is a wonderful opportunity to expose the wider research industry to how your organization is driving insights and delivering value in the ever-changing world of marketing research.

Presentation Guidelines:

  • The presentation should be around 45 minutes plus 15 minutes of questions and answers and can take any style of presentation format. We encourage you to get creative in your approach.
  • A few areas of interest already suggested by members include:
    • Qualitative Report Writing
    • Research Innovations
    • Social Media Analytics
    • New Quantitative and Qualitative Research Techniques

These topics are only suggestions and we are open to other topics that you may be interested in presenting

Submission Guidelines:

  • Presenter contact information.
  • Short description of your presentation.
  • Learning outcomes, i.e. what are the key takeaways and what will the audience get out of the session.
  • Presenter credentials, i.e. a brief summary of credentials and qualifications.
