Podcast: Think the Government Doesn’t Care About Your Opinions? Wrong!
Today we would like to share the latest podcast interview for Marketing Research and Intelligence Association (MRIA) Alberta Chapter events. On Thursday, November 9th our research community gathered at the new Allard Hall at MacEwan University to participate in a “Lunch and Learn” event.
We would like to thank our event sponsor MacEwan University for their generous and ongoing support of the MRIA.
Mark Boulter, City of Edmonton shared his knowledge and experience about the City’s Insight Community – an online panel community of over 7,000 Edmonton residents who provide the City feedback on a wide range of topics on an ongoing basis.
Tema Frank, best-selling author of “PeopleShock: The Path to Profits When Customers Rule”, sat down with Mark to talk about how the City keeps their panel healthy, what they do to ensure the quality of their data and what procedures they have developed to ensure panelists have the best possible experience when participating in research.
If you weren’t able to join us, the podcast interview is available here.
Mark Ryski Event - February 22 & 23, 2016
Mark Ryski, CEO of Headcount, recently talked to the Alberta chapter of MRIA about his company's approach to researching store traffic and how to convert more visitors to buyers. In an interview with Tema Frank afterwards he discussed:
- The challenges of getting clients to act on market research results, and the new approach his company has taken to overcome it.
- The value of having a skilled human analyst look at data instead of relying completely on computer algorithms.
- Mistakes that are easy to make in interpreting data from traffic counts or other market research.
