CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP
Terms and Conditions

(A) General Terms and Conditions - For All MRIA Corporate Members

  • Corporate Members must comply with the Code of Conduct and Good Practice for Members of the Marketing Research and Intelligence Association, as established by the Board of Directors
  • Failure to comply may be cause for censure, suspension and probation, or termination of membership in the Association. For more information, click here
  • To access and use MRIA's "Corporate Seal", Corporate Representatives must agree to abide by the "Policy on Access to and Authorized Use of MRIA Corporate Seals"
  • Corporate Members of the Association shall not turn to their own account or use in any way the fact of their Corporate membership in the Association as evidence of a particular professional competence, except insofar as membership by itself implies that the Corporate Member subscribes to the Code of Conduct and Good Practice of the Association
  • MRIA Corporate Members must designate an MRIA regular Member in-good-standing to act as their "Corporate Representative", who shall serve as the Corporation's Designated Representative for MRIA matters
  • Corporate Members must immediately advise MRIA of any change to the name of their Corporate Representative or to their business address and contact information, by contacting the Member Services department at membership@mria-arim.ca, at (416) 642-9793, ext. 8727 or at 1-888-602-6742
  • Corporate Members, represented by their Corporate Representative, must ensure that their company fulfills all the criteria and respects the terms and conditions for their Corporate membership type
  • Corporate Members must immediately communicate to MRIA any modification to their company (status, ownership, activities, number of full-time marketing and survey research or market intelligence employees) that may have an impact on their Corporate membership. They can do so by contacting the Member Services department at membership@mria-arim.ca, at (416) 642-9793, ext 8727 or at 1-888-602-6742.
  • All Corporate membership transactions (enrollment, renewal) and modifications to the Corporate membership Profile are the sole responsibility of the Corporate Representative, who may from time to time delegate these tasks to a staff member working on his/her behalf.

(B) ALL MRIA Corporate Research Agencies must abide by the following Terms and Conditions (in addition to the General Terms and Conditions listed in section A above):

  • All Corporate Research Agencies must participate in MRIAs annual "Financial Activity Survey" and Monthly Revenue Tracking Reporting and in any other survey mandated by the Research Agency Council (RAC) for Corporate Membership
  • MRIA Corporate Research Agencies have an obligation to ensure that all their research projects involving the participation of respondents (both quantitative and qualitative projects) are registered with MRIA's Research Registration System; All research projects must be registered, regardless of data collection method or target audience - including all recruitment or qualitative research projects. When outsourcing data collection and recruitment, MRIA Corporate Research Agencies must ensure that their supplier registers their research projects with MRIA's Research Registration System
  • MRIA Corporate Research Agencies who directly recruit respondents for qualitative research projects are strongly encouraged to ensure that all their research projects involving the participation of customer respondents are registered with the MRIA Qualitative Research Registry (QRR), an initiative mandated by the Qualitative Research Council. When outsourcing Qualitative Research data collection and recruitment, MRIA Corporate Research Agencies are invited to strongly encourage their suppliers to register their projects with the MRIA's Qualitative Research Registry (QRR)

(C) MRIA Corporate Research Agencies - Gold Seal must abide by the following Terms and Conditions, in addition to the General Terms and Conditions listed in section A and to the Terms and Conditions applicable for Corporate Research Agencies (section B above):

  • When applying for a Corporate Research Agency - Gold Seal membership, companies must agree to participate to the next Gold Seal Certification Process and to respect the deadlines to be communicated to them by MRIA
  • New Gold Seal applicants will be considered as Corporate Research Agency Members of MRIA and can only advertise themselves as such, until they have successfully completed their first Gold Seal Certification Review. Therefore, new Gold Seal applicants will only be authorized to access and use the MRIA "Corporate Seal" until they have successfully completed their first Gold Seal Certification Review
  • After the successful completion of their first Gold Seal Certification Review, new Corporate Research Agency - Gold Seal Members can access via the MRIA Portal the MRIA "Gold Corporate Seal", after they declare that their company commits to observance and adherence of MRIA's "Policy on Access to and Authorized Use of MRIA Corporate Seals".
  • Following successful completion of a first Gold Seal Certification Review, Corporate Research Agency - Gold Seal Members must, at least once every three years, successfully complete a further Gold Seal Certification Review to ensure their ongoing adherence to Gold Seal Corporate Membership Standards. When recertifying for a Corporate Research Agency - Gold Seal membership, companies must agree to participate to the next Gold Seal Certification Process and to respect the deadlines to be communicated to them by MRIA

(D) MRIA Corporate Client Side Researchers must agree to the following Terms and Conditions, in addition to the General Terms and Conditions (section A above):

  • MRIA Corporate Client Side Researchers are encouraged, when contracting for data collection and for recruitment, to ensure that all suppliers register their research projects with the MRIA's Research Registration System
  • Corporate Client Side Researchers are invited, when outsourcing Qualitative Research data collection and recruitment, to strongly encourage their suppliers to register their projects with the MRIA's Qualitative Research Registry, an initiative mandated by the Qualitative Research Council
