Calling All Future CMRPs!

The only constant is change.

Certification is a way to measure the competency of individuals within our industry and is based on both the practical application of marketing research competencies and a certification examination or equivalent. Our well-known CMRP certification:

  • Helps to ensure professional competence
  • Enhances the prestige of a profession by raising standards
  • Requires participant eligibility standards
  • Involves selection procedures, and
  • Requires maintenance of certification

MRIA's professional development leadership began revisiting our certification model two years ago. In consultation with numerous stakeholders and from insights gained from a comprehensive survey, we are about to launch the most flexible and tailored path for our members to achieve certification – and to advance their careers into the fast lane! More information will be sent to all members next week by email and posted on our website. Visit our booth at the 2014 National Conference in Saskatoon!

Emerging Leaders Task Force -

We look for member feedback, on social media and through surveys, to measure the impact of our decisions and help direct our future efforts. This enclosed survey will take 2-3 minutes to complete.  It was created with the help of our Emerging Leaders Task Force (ELTF), whose  mandate it is to stimulate participation in MRIA by next generation market researchers, while working towards a more holistic approach to support the future success of this group.

CMRP members: MCP tracker changes

Thanks to all CMRP members for regularly updating your current professional knowledge and for your diligence in keeping track of it. The CMRP designation is made stronger by your commitment to keep your knowledge current.

This is a note to let all our Certified Professional Marketing Research members know that all MRIA activities for which you've earned MCP points continue to be viewable from the portal, but we've taken the MCP Tracker" offline, which used to track non-MRIA activities. This will now be managed with an honor system.
