Notice of Special General Meeting (for Members Only)
MRIA held this SGM of members at the Marriott Toronto Bloor Yorkville Hotel. This meeting was necessary to transition the Association to Canada's Not-for-Profit Act, a requirement that only 1,700 of the 17,000 not-for-profits in Canada have so far done ahead of deadline. Quorum was met and members from provinces across Canada voted to continue as an Association past October 2014. Details on the specifics are in the documents pre-circulated with the notice of meeting. Brian Singh blogs, political observers and the media were ignoring some basic fundamentals in understanding and analyzing polls... it was useless to consider an entire electorate when turnout was projected to be low.
