THANK YOU TO OUR GENEROUS 2016 PARTNERS

In 2016, MRIA introduced a new Partnership Program to support significant growth initiatives planned for events, communications, professional development, awards, and chapter activities across Canada. Working with supportive Partners in pursuit of MRIA’s mission is an important strategy which we believe ultimately strengthens the market research community by enabling us to share our experience, insight, and leadership with an even greater audience. For more information about how your organization can become an MRIA partner, click here.

MRIA has released updated Polling Standards!

On April 1, 2016, the MRIA Board of Directors approved an update to the polling section of the MRIA Code of Conduct. The new polling Standards are an adaptation of ESOMAR/WAPOR Guidelines and AAPOR Guidelines, and also include the careful consideration of consultation with Canadian pollsters, papers and news articles on polling, as well as CRTC regulations and the Canada Elections Act. The new polling Standards may be found here, and a quick reference guide can be found here

CRTC Issues Clarity On the Use of Incentives

On March 21, 2016, the CRTC released a long-awaited Decision relating, in part, to the use of incentives.

The Decision (Compliance and Enforcement Decision CRTC 2016-107) is a partial win for the survey research industry in that the Commission officially recognized that incentives are a legitimate practice in research.  It also states that they are permissible as long as the sole purpose is to incent participation in a specific survey.

Be Confident in the Quality of your Marketing Research:
Hire a Gold Seal corporation to ensure you receive the highest quality of research available. MRIA's third party auditing process verifies that their internal business practices are of the highest standard.

Hire a Certified Marketing Research Professional (CMRP). CMRPs have earned the right to use this designation based on substantial past experience and/or by passing the Comprehensive Marketing Research Exam.

Adding Value & Recognition for Gold Seal Agencies

The MRIA and its Research Advisory Council (RAC) Board are working on exciting initiatives to increase Gold Seal member benefits and to provide greater visibility and recognition of the commitment and investment that our Gold Seal members make to our industry as a whole.
