Wondering where to look for answers to your research questions? In this MRIA Alberta Chapter speaker event, University of Alberta Business subject specialist librarian Janet Williamson will present examples of secondary data you can access to answer your research questions.

The presentation will include discussion of:

  • How secondary data can be used in marketing research
  • What kinds of sources are FREE and what sources have a cost
  • The latest in databases to access for research information
  • Where to find consumer segmentation data
  • How to locate consumer trends for specific industries

About the Speaker

Janet Williamson, Business subject specialist librarian, Winspear Business Library, University of Alberta Libraries

Janet Williamson is a Business subject specialist librarian, who has worked with Alberta School of Business faculty and students at the Winspear Business Library, University of Alberta Libraries, for almost 25 years. Her graduate work was completed in Canada and the UK. 
An area of focus for Janet's work is the review of secondary business research information. This session explores the strengths and limitations of specific Canadian secondary market research sources.
