The Luxury of Ignorance Has Expired -
The next Generation of Shopper Insights and Research Protocols

The emergence and convergence of technology combined with the explosion of choice at shelf has put significant pressure on the market research community to define new research methodologies that define a faster and more efficient path to analysis and interpretation.  There is a significant need for speed as the luxury of ignorance has expired. We must find new ways of conducting and interpretation research with actionable insight in order to stay relevant in a sea of choice.

Many companies struggle to understand the emotional benefits that drive and influence shopping behavior and the path to purchase. To fully understand the key drivers of shopper behavior we must first accept that shoppers have a deep seeded need for self-actualization, self-creation, security and connection.

Understanding shopper behavior and the path to purchase is not a spectator sport as you must combine qualitative and quantitative research to get accurate insight. The Institute (IRIE) in partnership with Minavox is conducting  a research study that will utilize quantitative analysis to understand key drivers of behavior and then reconcile those findings with actual behavior in a simulated retail environment across multiple categories to identify key drivers of shopping behavior at all points in the path to purchase.
